    Default quicktime movie problem

    Hello,

We are having a problem importing a quicktime movie into the timeline. When we play the timeline, the video is jumpy (doesn't play all of the frames) and the audio is not heard.

We then imported the video (29.97fps) and sound (aiff file) and that worked for the audio but the video still is jumpy.

We first had the timeline at 12fps and then we changed it to 30fps. Still didn't solve the video play problem.

What is the main way to import a quicktime movie (29.97) and have both the video and audio play in the timeline. are there certain settings to use for the quicktime movie before importing it into Flash?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi,

When you are working with video files you may run into some problems with QuickTime Flash movies and correct version support. The version of QuickTime on your computer affects your ability to publish. Make sure you have the lates available version installed. You can download the latest QuickTime installer on the web at......

    www.apple.com/quicktime

and the latest Shockwave Player at.....

    www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download

As for setting the frame rate, you can set the QuickTime animation to match the flash movie, or you can set the flash movie to match the video frame rate. Flash will always be the default rate, but matching the frame rates for the video and flash will improve overall quality of play. Ex.... if the video frame rate is at 30, set the flash frame rate to 30. If you want the video to match the default flash flame rate, set the video frame rate to 12 fps.

    hope it helps

Default quicktime movie still doesn't play

We set the frame rates of the movie and timeline the same and video still doesn't play correctly.

Do we ned to change the size or something else for it to play smoothly?

Why doesn't the audio play? we separated the video and audio and imported separaely but why can't we do it as a file together?

    thanks,

    Hi,

I still suspect it is a version support issue. I did a quick scan of the Macromedia site, maybe one of these links will help....
