Hi,
I want to create a website which includes Flash samples of my photo-retouching work:
My request is quite straightforward I think, but I can't find any advice anywhere specific to my needs. My tutorial doesn't want to launch with my web browser settings for some unknown reason. I am completely new to Flash, and wonder if anyone out there can help me please?
From an 'Examples' page on the site containing some thumbnail images, I would like the user to be able to click on one and launch a rapid Flash animation of a 600px x 600px photo retouching example in its 'before-to-after' stages, totalling 5 single frames, rate: 3 fps, without any tweening or fades, and with an immediate stop on the last frame. I would then like the user to be able to roll the mouse over to see a static view of the first frame (i.e. my original image 'before retouching'), and then to roll away in order to relaunch the animation again, which will of course finish on the 'after retouching' frame.
I have only got as far as setting a 3 fps rate, importing the pre-sized images centrally onto a 600px x 600px stage (all on 1 layer), selecting the last frame on the Timeline window and creating a 'stop ()' action on that frame. I have tried to use bits of ActionScript code suggested from other sites which relate to button creation, etc. and a separate layer just containing the 1st frame (the 'before' image), but all I seem to do is confuse myself!
There must be a simple explanation available from anyone out there who understands the software properly. I don't really need or wish to learn very much more than just what's required for this function. Please help!
Thank you,
Jez.
