problem loading external game

I am putting together a portfolio that will include a game that I made (along with numerous other things.

I have a few questions that need answering:

1) I am using an empty movie clip to load external swf's. Is there a way to control the dimensions within the parent swf without altering the original/child swf?

2) I want the game.swf to load externally inside the parent swf, but when it does, its stuck on frame 1. How can I fix this?

If there's any additional information you need to get a better idea of what's going on, let me know.

First. Which version of actionscript are you using or wanting to use?
Second. Could you send me the .fla files of the portfolio and game?

I use AS 2.

The zip folder includes everything involved in my Portfolio flash.

Where the game would be placed is within a movie clip inside the flash mc (inside the flash folder).

For the time being, I have it set up to have the game simply load in a new window when the game_btn is pressed.
