Linking preloader with main website page.

I'd just like to start out by saying hello to everyone here. I'm new to this forum so I hope I'm posting to the right thread.

I'm trying to create a website with a preloader. Just wondering if anyone out there can tell me which would be the better way to go. Create two seperate swf files or link the main page from the preloader swf file? I thought what I was going to do was pretty straight forward but I keep having problems with the main swf file looping. I tried including a stop(); command but it still doesn't seem to work. Here's the link of what I've created so far. It's very basic right now.
