    Default Flash pausing in IE

    Hi

    I am having a problem with my flash movie pausing in Internet Explorer. It pauses after around 10 seconds.
    Although it runs ok in Safari.

    Can anyone tell me why this is?

    Ps: The site is a work in progress so ignore the glitches

    Also, my flash movie is not showing in Firefox.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

    Quick question.... what happens in each of the suspect problem browsers if you call the .swf file directly instead of embedded in an HTML page?... If the files work correctly in that situation, you will probably need to google "SWFobject". This is used for standard embedding in HTML pages and allows for multi browser functionality. Other than that, a google search should reveal numerous fixes for this issue as it is a regularly posted problem.

    The files do run as they should when I call them directly.

    I've googled endlessly and tried different workarounds including swfobject but none of them seem to stop my swf's pausing in IE.

    Here is the code if anyone can see any glaring mistakes:

    <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/s...rsion=6,0,40,0" width="336" height="245">
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.moraelin.co.uk/elpussycat...e/wardrobe.swf">
    <param name="quality" value="high">
    <param name="menu" value="false">
    </object>

    Hi,

    That particular code sample is structured correctly. However, if I type the address(.swf only) in the IE location bar, nothing loads. This is rather odd. If I load the HTML version, it appears to work fine for me in IE...

    The same happens for me now. Have you any idea what could be causing this?

    It has started working for me also but this happened before. The issue seems to be intermittent.
