Arrow Need SERIOUS Help w/Flash Template!

    Hi friends,

I have been using Flash CS3 for a few months and have come across a very challenging template that I am working with. I have figured out how to edit the main logo and buttons. However, I need to edit the following things, in order of importance:

    1. change the mountains to a different picture (to that of a house, for example).
    2. edit the main content/text (why this is so difficult I do not know!)

On previous templates that I have worked with, editing the text was the least of my worries. I would simply click (or double-click) the text and edit it. This is NOT the case in this template. Any help that you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated!

THE LINK TO DOWNLOAD THIS TEMPLATE IS BELOW:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TE2PQM98 (63.13MB)

If the template seems to be cluttered and extremely disorganized, i apologize. But i know that someone out there has a better idea of what is going on than I do! If you are able to help out, please reply to this thread or (better yet) email me at: schaeffer12@gmail.com

    Thanks Again!
    Jim

P.S. I must have this completed (somehow!) by the middle of next week, September 3rd, 2008.

    Hi,

The movie explorer is the best tool for finding nested objects that need editing. The next best approach is to find the objects in the library and modify them from there. Double clicking an object in the library will allow you to edit it on the main stage. Regarding text.........if it is nested inside a moviecllip you simply need to find that movieclip to edit the textfield. If the text is applied by Actionscript, you will need to have the AS panel open and look for a keyframe that contains code or, more often with templates, you will need to select the object with your mouse to see the actionscript code it contains. I dont download or modify others files, but this should just be a matter of digging through the file to find what needs to be edited. Everything in the movie will be in the library.
