I recently put a flash movie on my website. When anyone who has internet explorer would view the movie, you would have to click on the movie to activate it and interact with links....active x would block it...
my server, homestead.com, came up with a solution to bypass this problem. here is what they wrote...
"We found an article (http://therippa.blogspot.com/2006/03/activateactivex.html) where someone created script that will bypass the message.
I have imported the .js script into your file manager for your website www.locallowprices.com. I have also attached it to this ticket in case you want to import the file into your other websites.
After you import the file into your file manager, you just need to add the following HTML code using the "INSERT HTML" element:
<script language="JScript" type="text/jscript" src="activateActiveX_onload.js"></script>
The instructions above will remove the Active X Message on the pages you add the code to."
Now it does work..sort of.....when i go to this page http://www.locallowprices.com/testflash.html
it will start the flash movie...then stop and then start it again..like a hicup....is there a solution to this? Homestead gave up.
