    Default Fade In/ Fade Out

Hey kidb and welcome to FlashAdvisor!

What you are trying to acheive is very simple. A fading effect is a tween, nothing more, nothing less. You need 2 components, a symbol, and a tween containing that symbol. Set it up like this.

Place you symbol into a key frame by itself.

Copy that key frame and paste it in a desired frame, following that first frame. (All in the same layer)

Apply the tween to the frames. (right click the first frame, and click "create motion tween.")

Now your tween is set up. (If preformed properly, there will be an arrow between both frames)

Select the last frame. Click the Symbol. In the properties panel, color will be displayed with a dropdown menu beside it. Select how you want your fade or whatever to be. (i.e. If you want white to fade to black, your first frame will be white, and change the color setting to brightness and put it on 100%)

    Hope this helps ya!
