    Default Web-based training assessment

Any ideas for creating an assessment for a recently completed training module. The flash program I have has templates, but I would like more control over the content and appearance. I am very very new at this.

    Help if you dare.

    Hi,

A better description of what the project is geared for would be helpful. What does the training model cover and what data is returned? Is it similar to a quiz template?

I would say that it is similar to a quiz template. The tutorial is a guide to eating healthy. For the assessment, I am looking to make the dryness of the topic a bit more fun. However, my skill level is low, so to make it functional is my first goal. Really just looking for a progression of forms that will ask questions ranging from T/F, fill-in-the-blank, and multiple choice/multiple answer. I would like feedback after each question is answered either congratulations or an explanation of the correct answer (if question is answered incorrectly).

My flash program has existing templates, but I am so new to this, I was not able to changes them to fit my needs. I am also curious to know how to do this for future designs. If more info is needed, let me know. Again, really just looking for basics at this point.

    Hi,

The flexibility of Flash allows for a single goal to be achieved in multiple ways. It is difficult to say which method is best or preferred because it is really up to the developer as to what approach to take. Making a quiz could be very complex or as simple as controling a single movieclip. You could have a single movieclip with questions on different frames and navigate from frame to frame for each question. You could then have another movieclip that would display if the answer is incorrect or provide a congratulations if it is correct. Learn to manipulate movieclips and their timelines and properties. Movieclip timelines run independent of the main timeline and you can control properties such as _visible to allow for when the clip should be seen.

    hope it helps
