    Hi,

There are tons of sites online that provide interactive flash content. However, seeing is far from doing. Learning the basics from the ground up is the way to learn if you want to be an advanced Flash developer. Try a google search on "learning Flash" or "flash developement" to see what others have accomplished with the application. Check out sites like flashkit.com........... kirupa.com...........bit-101.com ....void.andre-michelle.com/......levitated.net.... or .... krazydad.com/bestiary/ .... for some interesting examples. Beyond that, creating your own designs is the best way to learn. Hands on experience is hard to beat. If you get stuck on a paritucular method or have specific problems, forums like this one are also numerous.

    hope it helps

    Hi NTD,

Thanks for your reply, i can do basic flash eg shape, motion tweening, i guess its just the interactive flash, like having a jigsaw and getting the user to pick up the pieces and fix them in the right order. I have a video tutorial for that if you ever wanna do anything like that. With regards to forums i haven't found many active forums, i have already been to actionscripts.org.

But ultimately you are right i need to just dive in. But what would be nice is tutoarials on using the components and putting action scripts together.

The help files that come with Flash are valuable for learning the ins and outs of a particular method. Simply type the method into the AS panel, highlight it with your mouse, then select the help icon(button on the top with a ?) As an example, type "hitTest" into the AS panel and do the above. The help files will give a description of the method and usually a short code sample of how to employ the method.
