AppleScript & Flash JavaScript API

Here's the deal. Is there a software developer kit for Flash? I looked all over and I couldn't find anything.

What I did find is called JavaScript API, which I believe will allow me to write code that will allow me to automate specific functions within the Flash program.

The question is, on the Mac side, can an AppleScript initiate (or start) these JavaScript command functions? In the documentation, it says you have to select Command, then Run Command in Flash. Can I have AppleScript do that for me?

On the PC side, can VBScript initiate thse command functions written in JavaScript?

I dont use a Mac but on a PC, Flash can communicate with Javascript in an HTML page and vice versa. Maybe this link will shed some light...
