loadMovie command works in test but not online?

i'm using the loadMovie command to bring in a coupon to another swf file. it works when testing the site offline, but after uploading to my server it no longer seems "linked" is there something more i need to do than tell it to load "coupon.swf" to level 1? some way to connect the two files? they are in the same folder on my server...

i think i know exactly what your problem is, i spent soo much time on this problem,,, ok, let me explain..

the way flash work, when you loadMovie, or loadMovieNum, you are loading from either an absolute or relative file path// basically, the path tells flash where to get the swf movie, when you upload your site online, your code is still trying to load the movie from the same source, but it can't because it is now no longer connected to your computer, so what you need to do is to load the swf movie also into the website, and use its http path name as an absolute adress,

so instead of loading loadMovie("c:\dkfsd","something_mc");
you would do loadMovie("http:\\siteadress","something_mc");
