Default Flash websites and non-flash frames

    Hi,

I've had some experience with flash, but i'm looking to go that step further and create a full flash website. . . . but I've hit a few snags, wondered if you guys could help out.

Firstly (a bit of a nooby question), the main background i'm using for the site is black. But before the preloader/first frame of flash starts it has a white background. I just wondered if there was any way to change this, as most flash sites i've seen do not have this problem.

More to do with flash sites. I've used a lot of iframes in non-flash pages. Is there any way to change these frame by clicking on a flash link? I know you can open a new window with a link, but i cant seem to change the current window, or anything else

And lastly, do you have any links or tips relating to integrating PHP in flash, or making flash easily updateable. I was hoping for regular news updates but havn't found anything of yet.

    Thanks for the help guys

    Ed

    Hi,

Not sure where your getting the white flash. Whatever background color you set for the movie will continue through scenes or frames.

You can communicate with other flash movies with the local connection method. This allows you to use a flash movie in one frame and manipulate a flash movie in another frame.

I wrote a tutorial about Flash and PHP integration to create a Content Management System for flash. It also describes how to create a newsreader section that allows for external updates...

    Hope it helps
