Add picture to movie player.

I'm using flash 8. I have created several movies for our site. Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to add a picture to the start of the movie so it displays when the page is loaded. Right now the player comes up blank until you hit play.

Is "play" a button or movieclip? On the same frame where the button or movieclip is, simply import an image to the stage, or you can use the loadMovie method to load an image at runtime.

It's a movie player. I tried importing a picture which worked, but then it covers the movie when it's started. Where do I go from here?

Either,.... select the image, select "modify" from the top menu, then select "send to back".......or ..... create an entirely new layer that will hold the image and make sure the layer is below all other layers.
