  1. Default Button hit state problem

    Howdy,

Im having some trouble getting a nav bar made for my site...

Basically its a movie clip with buttons and graphics insde the buttons that contain text.

The goal right now, is to roll over the button and the over state has a rectangle in the background that is of a different color.

However, my hit state is acting very odd. I defined it as a large rectangle, however, it is only recognizing the hit area outside the area of the graphic for the button. Havent run into this before, and I havent found any posts relating to it... Ill attach the .fla for you all to see... its not much right now, but id prefer to fix this before i develop the rest of it. The main problem is with the home button.

Thanks much in advance for any help.

    Hi,

If you put a button inside a movieclip or a movieclip inside a button and assign the same button event to both, the parent button event will be the only one recognized as it overrides the child.
