Hi guys!

I'm here to pick your brains on all things Flash! I used to do quite a lot of animations and games a few years ago, but a 4 year break has left me downright stupid when it comes to actionscript. I hope I'll be able to pick up some of my lost Flash Fu with your help.

Don't bother picking it back up. Go to javascript or Java. Flash will be out of production in the near future.

Yeah I heard that it is circling the drain, but I don't see any harm in still messing around with it as a hobby. I'm definitely not making money off of it, so I doubt I'll be learning a whole new coding language for making silly animations and games.

Ah yeah. If you wanna make little animations, go for it. If you want to make games, turn back, for there is no hope. Flash is not game making software. But good luck though!
