Default Adobe Flash CS5/ActionScript 2.0 Question

Hello everyone, I know I'm pretty new here, and I don't wanna offend anyone by posting this here, but I'm at my wits end...I've posted this at justanswer dot com where I normally get instant answers, and got nothing in 2 days! I'm really in a bind here and could really use someones help. I didn't think it would be that tough as conceptually, I understand what needs to be done, I just don't know enough about coding Actionscript to do it. I would have gladly paid someone if I A.) had a better summer business wise, and B.) knew someone I could trust to do it right, and in a timely fashion, so, I have to do it myself, but my nose is bloody with how many times I've hit the wall here. So, enough of my yapping: here it is...

I have a template that I bought from templatemonster.com. The site has pages that I basically duplicate, rename, and swap instances of movies to create new pages. I did not write any of the code, I just modify as needed. My problem is that I need to integrate either

    JW PLAYER (http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/ )

    or
    Videobox (http://videobox-lb.sourceforge.net/)

into the website: meaning I need to call the functions that make these apps work, from actionscript within my swf flash site. The idea is that I have to be able to add photo galleries, and clickable video links or images, that come up on overlays over the current flash page. Because the site itself has an integrated music track, I have already written in a function to disable the music when someone clicks a video link, but I’m not sure that it was the best way to implement it, as the video pops up in a new html page, which is why I am posting this to begin with. My needs are rapidly changing, and I would be more than happy to pay someone to do these on future updates, but for now, I have to do these myself.

The working online site is http://www.surrealpicturesandvideo.com , but I have a stripped down version posted below for reference, as I need to make immediate updates to our site, and I have been sitting on this for a while trying to figure out how to do this. The pages that will need this functionality are the “News” page, which will be renamed to “Home” , the “In Production”, and the “Gallery” Page. Thanks.

Matterials needed if you wanna give it a go: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3C65ZIVQ

    Optional Information:
    My Computer OS: Windows 7
    Primary Browser: IE
    Programming Language: Actionscript 2.0
    Compiler: Adobe Flash CS5

    Already Tried:
Must work in AS2.0 as I think 3.0 would require recoding template and I am not a coder. Otherwise I cannot troubleshoot further.

I would really apprciate any help any of you can give! Many Thanks in Advance.

Hey mate. I'm the typical moderator on this site who reads posts and answers questions. At the moment (as in today and tomorrow) I'm super busy and won't be able to help. HOWEVER, I like your site, and I love the music, and I love everything I've seen in the ten seconds I took to view it. I can probably help you with anything you need ActionScript wise. But, like I said, I can't start until maybe this weekend. If you are ok with waiting a few days, I'll come back and help you.

Also, I'm glad you took the time to put the optional information. You don't know how rarely people take the time to post this kind of info.
AS2.0 is becoming outdated by the month. Depending on how much code is in the template, I will make a decision as to whether or not you should convert it (or have someone like me do so).

A quick idea: Have you considered centering your website? I like it how it is now, just wondering if you viewed it centered, and if it looked just as good or not as good. (Centering is definitely not necessary, just wondering how it would look.)

Thank You for the reply: I thought I was alone out here as no one was getting back to me! I am ok with waiting till the weekend as in the meantime I've started putting together a wix.com site. Truth is that it's just a bandaid as I like our original site better, but the funtionality is what we needed. I'm probably going to revamp the workings of the site to feel more like the the wix site, but for now, we are lauching a new TV series, and we need our site to have at least some of the base updates my post speaks about. I used to be an IT guy, so I'm pretty familiar with giving all the information needed. (as long as I have it) I thank you for considering me, and look forward to working this out with you! Talk to you soon!

Actually, we did, but we thought the menu looked better on the left. When we revamp the site, as I am with the Wix.com site, the menu and the site will be centered. Honestly, my problem with wix is: why would i want to pay monthly for someone to host my site, charge me for bandwidth & space, when we host 20 or more sites on our own servers here in house, using our own bandwith & space, that we spent thousands of dollars on? Wix is just to get me past this trying time, as allot of important people are going to be looking at our site now, due to the launch of Absolute Beauty & absolutebeauty.com.

Sorry man, I got stacked with work this weekend. Still not done yet, either. But, send me some stuff to my email I guess, so I can look over it from time to time.

I understand. Please look at my site as it is currently. I will probably want to have it converted in this way. Thanks.

Alright man, sorry for not getting back to you. I just have tons and tons of things to do. This week, I have four assignments + exam + laboratory for my Environmental Science class; a paper for Intro to Philosophy; a quiz + a level due for Level Design; an exam + assignment for Intro to C++; and a lab report + 3 chapters + quiz + exam for Biology.

But, I'll try to squeeze in some time for this this week. I'll get back to you later.
