XML to hold image list

Hi
I'm setting up an online portfolio for a photographer and would like to be able to easily change the portfolio images as and when. I've read that using an xml file to store the image details ie path, dimensions etc would enable me to upload new images to a folder and edit the xml to point to them. How is this possible in Flash 8 Pro.
