Help i can not get swf working

Can anyone help, I have tried exporting a .fla into a .swf but it just dose not work.

Damnit. This effing forum sucks sometimes.
I just got done typing a nice response to your question explaining the importance of details.
However, I pressed the wrong button and my answer was replaced with a blank textbox.
Oh well.

The gist of my post was that you need to be more specific in your question. Do you expect me to know which version of Flash you are using and which version of Flash Player you are using without you telling me? Also. When you say "nothing" happens, I am 99% sure that that is a lie. Something must happen when you try to export your .fla into a .swf.
Please give me more information.

I am very new to flash and I am working on learning the basics but I need to finish this one app.
I dont know if you heard of the Piecemaker 2

I have put my pictures on to it and when I preview it all works well but when I want to save it to a .SWF it dose so, but the file looks empty. When you preview it nothing happens.

I am using flash pro cs5 and I am using flash 10 to view it.

Ok here we go;
I have downloaded a temple from: http://www.modularweb.net/#/en/piece...iecemaker-demo

I have put my own images and I have changed the html file to cut out the 3rd picture (the small SWF) and the movie in the end.
My file only has 3 different pictures and all works well but I cannot make a swf file that works.

When I export the file as a swf file, to my desktop nothing works it looks like the file is empty.

I am using flash pro CS5 and I am using flash 10 to view it
I don’t know what I am doing wrong ,but I do know that it must be something really strait forward.

Hmm.. I don't know what piecemaker 2 is. And I'm a busy person lately.
So type me a little guide on what you did. I'll try to do it exactly how you did and see if I get the error.

I am sorry about the link I did not mean to disrupt any rules.
Well here is what I did:
On the piecemaker.xml file I changed picture names, tags and removed: <Flash Source="contents/flash.swf" Title="Loaded SWF File">
<Image Source="contents/flash-preview.png" />
</Flash> on the XML file.

Now I’ll put what I have in the piecemaker file.
Piecemaker/flash and web
Inside the flash folder I have:
caurina - file folder
com - file folder
piecemaker.fla
Inside the web folder I have :
contents - file folder with my pictures (only 3) 900x360 pixels
script - file folder
index - .html file
piecemaker.css file
piecemaker.swf file
piecemaker.xml file

Hmm... I can see this as being a bit time consuming. I'd have to play around with the files to see what your talking about.
And on top of that, I'm not very good with xml...
