hello everybody.
i am tryin to build a flash website using Adobe flash pro cs5. what i have done till now is make a simple preloader that shows the load%, then the main page.
the main page is basically a flash document having a red background color and a menubar near the top.
when i click the button/links on the menubar, i need to load the respective page into a fixed area on this main page.
for this, i made 4 'sprite' movieclip type symbols; each of which has txtboxes with the data, the various links and images and so on for the webpages. each of these sprite movieclip corresponds to one menu button, like sprite1 to 'home', sprite2 to 'about' and so on.
will loadmovie("sprite1") inside the button(release) for the 'home' menu-button do this job??? if not, how else????
also, as i searched online, i found many suggestions tellin u to make an empty 'container' and then load the appropriate movieclip symbol into it on. but for the life of me, i couldnt find any tool which said 'empty' or 'container'... u see, i am just a noobie and dont jhave any prior knowledge of either flash or photoshop....and so find the 'layers' concept a bit tough, but i am managing somehow... so how would i go on creating this said 'container'???
