Flash focus in HTML page

Hi,

I dont seem to get many questions responded to here, but I figure maybe someone here might know. I have a problem with flash focus in an HTML page. When I load my MP3 player into an HTML page I lose some button functionality in two cases. Onload the buttons don't work on first release like they should. The play button must be pressed twice to load a song. The second case is if the HTML page loses focus to another page and the user returns to the player. The buttons dont function properly until selected twice. In testing, I added a javascript function to the HTML page to trace focus. I dont understand why clicking on the HTML page gains focus, but clicking on the player embedded in the HTML page loses focus. Any ideas???
