how to put in sound effects for my games?

hi...

i am half way done with my games...but 'm having a lil problem. i dont know how to include sound effects for my games. eg.for shooting game, i used scripts to make it workin...but not able to put in some sound effects? how to do ths? can somebody help me? i can post the codes to you....if u're willin to help me

Well how far have you gotten.. Have you imported the soud effects into flash?
If so you can put them into movieclips and control them with code.
