Guide: Convert DVD, AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV to iPod

1. Download PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter (http://www.soft29.com/ipod/pq_dvd_to_ipod_video_suite.html).

2. If you'd like to rip DVD to iPod, please run PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter, insert the DVD you'd like to rip. The iPod software will load it automatically. If not, please load DVD by choosing "File -> Open DVD".
If you plan to convert AVI, MPEG, WMV, DAT, MPG files to iPod, please run the DVD to iPod Converter software, load video files by choosing "File -> Open Video File".

3. Set ripping mode you like.
* Rip the whole DVD to iPod: Keep the default value, that is to say, "start point" is 0:00, "stop point" is the total time of the DVD movie.
* Rip just partial segment: Drag the video playback controls to set the "start point" and "stop point".
* Rip by chapters: Choose any chapter from the "Chapters" menu.

4. Set Resolution.
Set "resolution" value by selecting a mode from "Crop" or by setting "Aspect Ratio".
Tips: Besides 320*240, you can also rip DVD to iPod with 320*192, 320*224, 320*180, etc. It is helpful to those who want to rip widescreen DVDs/videos.

5. Set video quality.
When set "quality" value, you will see that "Output size" value is changing. You can also set audio's volume, Video's frame rate by clicking "Audio" and "Video".
Please note: High quality = Large file size.

6. If you like, set output filename and location by choosing "File -> Set output filename & location". Then click "Record it" to start ripping DVD to MP4. The converting speed is fast.

7. Drag the .mp4 files converted into your iTunes library, or select "Add File to Library" from the "File" menu and select the MP4 videos. Then sync the MP4 files to iPod by clicking "File -> Update iPod". Now, you can enjoy the movies on your fifth-generation video iPod anywhere and anytime.

Both Windows version (http://www.ipod-soft.com/dvd-to-ipod-ripper.html) and Mac version (http://www.ipod-soft.com/dvd-to-ipod-for-mac.html) are available.
